OUR MISSION / PURPOSE
At-risk refugee students and recently arrived international students will learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).
This exposure will be for students to realize their self-worth and intelligence are not determined by the amount of English they can speak in a classroom. This result will lead to increased graduation rates and to decrease early drop-out rates in DeKalb County. The Our school serves the entire county of DeKalb. The International Student Center presently serves 702 ESOL students that are immigrating into the United States for the first time.
